Years Younger Vitality: Injectables & Fillers
Time, sun, gravity, emotion and expression can wear deep crevices in your face.
Worrying and squinting in the sun can plow deep lines between your brows, making you look angry and grumpy all the time. And add rows of frown lines on your forehead.
While smiling and laughter is good medicine, those two can leave their marks, creating parenthetic crevices around your mouth.
Not to mention those laugh lines—or stress marks—around the eyes that are unkindly called crows feet.
Then there’s the tiny lines around your mouth caused by talking, eating, laughing, smiling and frowning.
The cheeks that become gaunt as they loose their collagen with age and gravity, giving you those delightful jowls.
In other words, being human and living a life leaves its mark on your face, causing you to look older than you are and less vibrant than you feel.
Which is where our scientifically proven, medically tested and approved, injectable line comes in.
Botox one of the only approved health and beauty treatments for crows feet and worry lines between the brows. It is one of the most extensively studied medical aesthetic treatments in the world and is government approved in 78 countries.
Botox is by prescription only and is administered by a registered nurse under a medical doctor’s supervision.
Botox works by relaxing the muscles around the line and filling it in with a safe, naturally occurring substance. Some patients report minor pain during the injection, so a topical anesthetic will be applied, however no pain persists after treatment.
Botox binds to the nerve with in two hours but to see its total clinical effect patients should wait two to 10 days. If you’re getting the procedure done for a special occasion it’s recommended to make an appointment two weeks in advance. The effects of Botox can last up to three to four months.
Most patients need between 30 to 50 units of Botox, which runs between $12 to $15 per unit. We also offer a less expensive, but effective brand of this type of filler than is priced slightly cheaper at $11 per unit.
Botox can be used to treat:
* Marrionnette Lines
* Fine Lines Around Lips
* Forehead Lines
* Worry Lines
* Naso-Labio Folds
Juvederm & Juvederm Voluma XC
Juvederm is a hyaluronic acid filler which can be used to effectively and safely fill in the parenthesis around the mouth, plump lips and add contour back to gaunt cheeks which have lost elasticity and collagen.
Hyaluronic acid is a natural sugar produced by the body, however we lose it as we age or it can be depleted by environmental factors. Hyaluronic acid contains no animal or human DNA and has the best safety profile of all of the fillers on the market. HA is often found in skincare products used to moisturize and hydrate the skin.
Juvederm can last three to six months and Juvederm Voluma can last six to nine months due to its thicker quality. Some claim that Juvederm actually prevents further wrinkling and damage due to the fact that the tissue is fuller, thus not allowing the face to create the expression that caused the lines in the first place.
The effects of Juvederm are immediate, however due to swelling distorting perception, patients must wait 5-7 days to see the final result. If often looks better after the second day as it settles into its final form.
Patients must buy a syringe of Juvederm which runs between $500 and $700. Most patients have no problem using the complete vial between the various problem areas on their face.
Juvederm and Juvederm Voluma XC can be used to treat:
* Parenthesis Bracketing the Mouth
* Lip Plumping
* Cheek Contouring
* Deep Brow Lines or “11s”
What is Injectable Aesthetics?
Thanks to the many scientific advances in medicine over the last century, people are living longer, healthier lives. Yet individuals may feel that their outside appearance doesn't always match the vibrancy they feel on the inside. Environmental damage and the natural aging process lead some to seek science-based options. Injectables such as “Botox", “Juvederm” and "Voluma" are used to combat these signs of aging. By relaxing over used muscles and filling in lines caused by gravity, sun exposure, and aging skin the face can be restored to a more youthful appearance. Matching what we feel inside.
How much will it cost?
In order to give a more accurate estimate of the cost, a complimentary consultation is needed to determine what areas you want corrected and what type of injections are needed. As a general starting point, most clients will need between 30-50 units of Botox. Botox typically runs between $12-$16/unit. Depending on the amount of volume lost in the naso-labial folds, lips and marionnette lines, 1-2 syringes of Juvederm is the most common amount used. Juvederm can vary as much as $475-$650/syringe. I understand budget...so if you have a certain amount you can spend, let us know and we will come up with a plan that works with your budget and that can bring about the most optimum results.
Will it hurt?
Injectables can cause some mild to moderate pain depending on your tolerance. A topical anesthetic cream will be applied and can be administered for injection near and around mouth if desired. Most clients experience a slight stinging sensation that disappears very quickly. Our needles are very sharp and precise. Juvederm and Voluma have lidocaine in the solution to allow for even more comfort when receiving filles.
When will I see results?
Dermal fillers will have immediate effects, though with the swelling from the injection, it is best to wait 5-7 days to see the final result. Botox binds to the nerve within 2 hours, but it takes the toxin between 2-10 days to exert its clinical effects. If you have any special occasion; wedding, vacation, reunion, etc., please make an appointment at least 2 weeks before to ensure the maximum benefit.
